Wedding PANCHUK-McDONALDKelly and Darren exchanged wedding vows on June 27, 1998 among family and friends at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Mississauga, Ontario.Kelly’s attendants were Maid of Honour school friend Persha, friend Michael, cousin Michael, and* cousin Stephanie.Darren’s Groomsmen were twin brother Brad, friend John, brother Grant, and friend Andrew.The reception was held at El Prado Banquet Hall with many out of town guests. They include: from Edmonton, AB mother of the bride Jenny Panchuk, Larry Hawryschuk, Mary Orysiuk, Mary Nolga; from Kamsack, SK Mary and Bill Glagoloff, Marilyn Bielecki; from Swan River, MB Judy and Russell Hawrychuk; from Roblin, MB Ann Hawryschuk; from Winnipeg, MB Della Kupchuk and Gladys Thompson; from Ottawa, ON Robert Panchuk; from Windsor, ON Helen, Alex, Laurie, and Tracy Panchuk, Emily, Jim and Chris Martin; from Vancouver Jason Spate.Everybody had a great time to a traditional Ukrainian Wedding mixed with Scottish Bagpipes. With a band at the door and bread and salt guests were welcomed by the bride’s God Parents Doris Hawryschuk and Clayton Burton.The groom’s uncle Norman played the Bag Pipes on leaving the church and again when entering the reception hall. The bride and groom did the first dance before going to the head of the table. As they had met at a dance class they did a Latin/Spanish dance.After a great meal and wonderful speeches, dancing started with both Ukrainian and the popular music of today. A good time was hadby all.The couple left for a three week honeymoon holiday to Greece. On coming back, their new home is being built with a move in date of November ‘98.I want to thank everyone for coming and all those that sent cards, gifts and money! (Jenny Panchuck).
