Gothard of Herrin celebrated their 50th anniversary' at a family dinner at 7 p.m. Sept. 14, 1996, in Tom’s Place, De Soto.Gothard and Wilma Lee Cannon were married Sept. 14, 1946, in Pocahontas, Ark.Gothard was a supervisor at Bushy Creek Coal Mine. Mrs. Gothard was a salesperson at the Young Modem Shop.The couple have one daughter, Brenda Finke of Herrin. They also have one grandson.
