John Samuels United in Marriage to Mary Coffee.Yesterday evening at the office of the county clerk there ■was a marriage ceremony in which two of Tipton county’s; well known -old folks were the . principals. The groom was John Samuels and. the bride was Mrs. Mary Coffee, both of them among the old residents of the county. The ceremony was performed by Marcellus Itecobs, justice of the peace for the tpwnship. and vjhen the marriage was solemnized there were a number of friends and aerrnaintanees cf the 'parties, on hands to witness the event end to extend cordial congratulations. They will reside in’Tipton, the groom having a home fitted up for his bride.This was the third marriage for Mr. Samuels and the fifth for the bride. Mr. Samuels • Is: seventy-sis years of age, and the bride is seventy- three.John Samuels is a well known residents of this county, he having lived here since 1S52, he coming here the year the first railroad wasbuilt into the county and he was one♦ “of the men who worked on the grade of the road froin Tipton to Peru. He is ia native of Sweden, and has been .a man of most frugal habits, he having accumulated a competency by hard work and industry. The brides’ maiden name was Charles.
