Married, at the residence of Mr. Philip Pringey, on Wednesday evening, Sept 14, by Kev. Ferguson, Mr. James W. Conine, to Miss Mattie Pringey, all of Cumberland. The wedding was attended only by the relatives and immediate friends of the contracting parties, who enjoyed a sumptuous feast of good things, such as mother Pringey knows well how to prepare. The happy pair were the recipients of several handsome and valuable presents. Mr. and Mrs. Conine will leave today for Hopeville where they will settle on a farm. We are sorry to lose them as Jim is one of those generous whole ! souled fellows whom it is a pleasure to ! meet, and Miss Mattie is so well and * favorably known in Cumberland, , where’she has conducted a millinery store for some years, that her sudden taking off is viewed almost as a calamity. That they take with them to their new home the best wishes of. the 1 entire community goes without saying. —Cumberland Express.
