PUGHMiss Eileen Altic and George PughMarried in New Bremen ChurchSt Paul's Evangelical and He formed church in New Bremen was the scene of a wedding of local interest Sept. 9, when Miss Eileen Mae Altic became the bride of George McKinnon Pugh, son of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Pugh, 2610 Adgate-rd. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold H; Poppe, New Bremen.*White gladioli, palms and lighted tapers formed a background for the ceremony preformed by the Rev. E. K. Bassler. Mrs. John Wxssman sang O Promise Me,” Because” and “The Lord’s Prayer” Mrs. Leon Kellermeyer presided, at the organ and Miss Molly Kellermeyer at the piano.The bride, given in. marriage by Mr. Poppe, wore a gown of ice blue satin, styled with fitted bodice fastened .down the front with satin buttons from a high neckline, a nd full skirt . with chapel train. Her fingertip veil and blusher of imported illusion in ice blue shade fell from a Juliet cap of matching satin, trimmed- in seed pearls. She carried white gladioli and glamelias and her pearl earrings were gifts from the, bri4$Sroom--.Mill, Ind. For traveling the bride selected a gray gabardine suit with dark green accessories. Her corsage was of orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Pugh will be at home at 869 W. Elm-st, after Sept. 17.The bride was graduated from New. Bremen high school and Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She is employed in the office of Dr. K. B. Hauver. The bridegroom attended South high school, Ohio university and Bowling Green State university, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. A World War II veteran, he now is employed by Standard Oil Company, Lima refinery.Julia Nartker ComplimentedTHE MAID of honor, Miss Barbara Poppe. sister of the bride, wore a gown of champagne pink satin. The' fitted bodice had a Peter Pan collar and the full skirt was corded and shirred at the hipline. Her headdress was a half-hat of matching net with satin bow trim.Mrs. Donald Roberts, sister of the bridegroom, as bridesmaid, was dressed identically in orchid satin, and the flower girl, Linda Keleh of Murphysboro, Term., wore pale pink satin. The attendants carried colonial bouquets of gladioli in shades matching their dresses and their rhinestone bracelets were gifts from the bride.Donald Roberts was best man and ushers included Marshall Cotner, Bernard Brewer, Raymond Roberts and Charles Hamilton.THE BRIDE’S mother chose a dark green dress with brown accessories, and the bridegroom’s mother wore a turquoise silk shantung suit with black velvet accessories. Both had corsages of white Bowers.A reception for 150 guests was 1 held at the Poppe home, after which the couple left for SpringMiss Beatrice Auer and Mrs. Carl H. Snyder entertained Tuesday evening in the laller’s home, 500 N. West-st, for Miss Julia Ann Nartker, whose wedding to James W. Fulks is to take place Sept. 30.Miss Montez Dray and Mrs. Norman Hersey won prizes in the bunco games contests. The bride-elect was presented a miscellaneous shower and a lunch followed. Appointments were in green and white with fall flowers used as decorations.Guests included Misses Knowles Unger, Helen Stoner, Pauline Thomas, Juanita Shelley, Mary Jane Hunt, Verdie Harshamn. Chiazza, Mrs.; Hersey, -Mrs. Earl Chandler, Delphos; Mrs. William- Neeper, Cridersville, and the bride-elect.• Recent parties given for Miss Nartker include a miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. William Brickner, Delphos, and a linen shower in the home of Miss Unger, 313% N.
