NELSON F. TIPTONThe funeral service for Nelson F. Tipton, 70, 933 Ash, who died Sunday at Ransom Memorial Hospital, will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rev, Paul Miller will officiate.Tipton was born July 30, 1912, at Ottawa, where he was a lifelong resident, He was service manager for Minnick Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1977, He had been a Staff Sgt. and crew chief in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. On June 10, 1939, he married Catherine Wiesen at Sacred Heart Church. She survives.
