Vicki/**Grems Married♦Mr. and Mrs. Tom GremsESTHERVILLE — Vicki Hartman and Tom Grems, both of Estherville, were married Aug, 27 during a double-ring ceremony at St. Patrick’s Church, officiated by Father Albert O. GrencBer.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hartman and Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Grems, all of Estherville.Both the bride and groom were escorted down the aisle by their parents to ‘Trumpet Voluntary.’ Other music included ‘The Wedding Song’ and ‘Our Father.’ Organist was Robert Dunphey, soloist was Paul Anderson arid trumpeter was Cindy Frick, all of Estherville.The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a long sleeved dress fitted at the waist The sleeves and high collar were outlined with pearls and the veil was trimmed in lace. She carried a bouquet of burgundy and pink roses with pink streamers and wore pearl earrings, a gift from the bridegroom.THE BRIDEGROOM wore a white tuxedo with tails and a pink shirt with a single pink rose as a boutonniere.Roxanne Green, Lake City, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Other attendants were Sandy Thelen, Estherville, and Cathy Jostand, Burt They wore pink hooded dresses and carried a single red rose.Best man was Bob Hartman, brother of the bride. Other groomsmen were Mike Grems, brother of the groom, and Randy Egel, all from Estherville.Ushers were Fred Grems, Steve Friesner and Craig Sorbo, all of Estherville, and Gary Peterson,Graettinger.Kevin Cooklin, Greg Cooklin and Chris Cooklin, all of Estherville, served as altar boys.Groomsmen, ushers and fathers wore burgundy tuxedos with pinkshirts and pink carnation boutonnieres. The mothers both wore pink dresses with burgundy rose corsages.Registering guests was Miss Irene Hartman, Graettinger, aunt of the bride.HONORED GUESTS were Leo J. Hartman, Chicago, IU., uncle of the bride and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Reynolds, Manson, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Grems, Estherville, and Mary Grems, Gruver, all grandparents of the groom. All wore corsages or boutonnieres.A reception was held at the Duhigg Center immediately following the wedding. The serving table featured candleabras with pink and burgundy roses in the center. The fountain cake was decorated with pink and burgundy roses. Cake servers were Pearl Newgaard and Lucy He Anderson, both of Estherville.Coffee pourers were Linda Weber and Maxine Brashear, both of Estherville and Laura Swanson, Estherville, poured punch. Dining room hostess was Mrs. Max Cooklin, Estherville.Waitresses were Sandy Sorbo, Sue Friesner, Linda Anderson and Marie Egel, all of Estherville.GIFT OPENERS were Coleen Blass, Kathy Nygaard, Janet Sampson and Sharon Pixler, all of Estherville. Jane Grems and Joan Grems, Estherville, sisters of the groom, were gift carriers.Photographer was Jan Dannatt, Milford.Following a wedding trip to DisneyWorld in Florida, the couple is at home in Estherville. A 1975 graduate of Estherville High School, the bride is employed at Emmet County State Bank, Estherville. The groom, a 1974 Estherville High School graduate, is employed at Berkley and Co., Spirit Lake.
