The sheer A-llne silhouette extended into a full cage chapel train which flowed from the empire waist in the back. The train and the hemline of the gown were banded in scalloped lace. Her rolled edge veil of imported silk illusion fell to elbow length from a pixie pillbox centered with hand fashioned roses of peau de soie and ap-pliqued with lace crested with pearls. Her bridal bouquet was of phalaenopsis orchids, gyp-sophillia and a cascade of ste-phanotis.For her something old”, the bride had a 1963 penny in her shoe, the year of the couple’s first date. Her gown was something new” and she borrowed diamond earrings from her aunt, Mrs. Cliff Pre-slar. She wore the traditional blue garter.Mrs. Cookie Ivey of Corpus Christi was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Melanie Miller of Amarillo, Mrs. David Bowers of Lubbock, Miss Sue Thompson, cousin of the bride of Denton, Miss Sherri Goode of Bars-tow, and Miss Sharon Littlejohn of Lubbock. They were attired identically in floor length Empire styled gowns of cranberry georgette lined and fashioned with a shallowed scooped neckline and three-quarter length sleeves edged in double flared pleated ruffles. Emerald green satin ribbons underlaid appliques of Venlse lace encircled the waist formed a small bow at the backding bells with white stock blooms and hot pink celosia.Salted nuts, deep hot pink mints and frosted raspberrypunch were served. White napkins had the inscriptionWe’re Mr. and Mrs. Now, Joanne and Bobby. A sterling vintage knife tied with hot pink ribbon and lily-of-the-valley and clear mitts with lace cuffs accented with olive green velvet bows were used to serve the cake.The groom’s table was round and laid with a circular linen cloth of deep hot pink. The groom’s cake was a fourtiered Beehive chocolate with fruit and nut filling and decorated with sugar fruit spilling down the front and around the base of the cake. Two honey bees perched atop the cake. Salted nuts, hot pink mints and coffee were served with silver and crystal appointments. Napkins of olive green with the same inscription as the bride’sgraced the table. A matching sterling vintage trowel and mitt were used to serve the cake. The centerpiece was of white fungi mums and shell pink asters in a silver eper-gne flanked by silver cankle-s ticks.Another table was covered with white peau de soie topped with a Chantilly lace cloth which was scallopped around the edge and re-embroidered with sequins and seed pearls.A large crystal tray held a rice bag tree. The rice bags were of olive green tulle tied with hot pink ribbon and held hot pink rice. The tray was backed by three tall antique olive green candlesticks holding hot pink scroll tapers. Distributing the rice bags were Cherryces was served.Attending were Mrs. Joe Bob Kelton, mother of the bride, Mrs. T. Ft.
