Miss Beverly Ann Smith And\Larry L. Metge Are MarriedIn a lovely fall setting of flowers and candles, Miss Beverly Ann Smith, daughter of Mrs. W. W. Smith of Marshalltown became the bride of Larry L. Metge, son of Mrs. Leora Metge on Saturday evening, September 8th at Elim Lutheran church in Marshalltown. The Rev. B. O. Loken-sgaard solemnized the double ring service before a large number of relatives and friends.Nuptial music was provided by Miss Marilyn Lokensgard, organist and Wayne Metge, brother of the bridegroom, soloist.The bride was charming in a gown of Chantilly lace and net over satttn designed with moldedbodice, portrait neckline and long pointed sleeves. Her fingertip veil of illusion was held in place with a low beaded crown and she carried a white Bible with an, orchid and a shower of valley lilies. She was given in marriage by her uncle, R. F. Ellis.Miss Barbara Smith of Melbourne attended her sister as maid of honor and Mrs. David C. Powers ‘was bridesmaid. They wore princess style gowns of lavendar taffeta and carried Colonial bouquets. Connie and Danny Collins of Albion, niece and nephew of the bride groom were candlelighters and Mttle Linda Veren of State Center was flower girl.Robert Metge of Iowa City served his brother as best man and Donald Collins of Albion was groomsman. Robert Muirhead of State Center and David Powers were ushers.A reception in the church parlors followed the ceremony.The bride is a graduate of Marshalltown Junior College with the class of 1953,Mr, Metge is a graduate of the State Center high school and is now serving with the U, S.
