rfSkalla-Kraus Vows Taken At ScrantonScranton (THNS) — The marriage of Mias Marian Skalla, (laughter of Mr, and Mrs. Frank Skalla of Scranton, to Paul Kraus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kraus of Glidden, took place at St. Paul’s Catholic church here Tuesday morning, September 18, at 8:30. The Rev. Father T. J. Perlon officiated, using the double ring ceremony.Nuptial music was furnished by cousins of the bride, Miss Louise Heim played Lohengrin’s Wedding March and Mrs. Harold Heim sang “On This Day, Oh Beautiful Motherpii\The bride wore a white floor-length gown with lace top, sweetheart neckline, three - quarter length sleeves and double net skirt with lace insertion. Her fingertip veil with coronet style crown set with rhinestones completed her costume. She wore a single strand of pearls, gift of the bridegroom. The bridal bouquet was of red roses with streamers of rosebuds.Her traveling costume was a brown crepe dress with aqua accessories, alligator shoes and purse.* * *Rosella Skalla, sister of thebride, and Dorothy Kraus, sister of the bridegroom, were her attendants. Miss Skalla wore blue taffeta and Miss Kraus pink taffeta, each with a net skirt from the hip line, sweetheart neckline with net ruffling and shirred sleeves. White pearl double strand chokers, gifts of the bride, and pearl earrings and net hats to match completed the bridesmaids’ costumes. Both carried colonial bouquets of mixed asters with white streamers.The bridegroom was attended by his brother, A1 Kraus, and Junior Skalla, brother of the bride. Other members of the bridal party were Richard Skalla and Lester Sievers, brother and cousin of the bride.Mass servers were Merlin Kraus and Donald Skalla, brothers of the bridal couple. The altar was decorated with fall flowers.* * *Following the ceremony a course wedding breakfast served at the Burke hotel in roll to the bridal party.Dinner was servfcd at the home of the bride’s parents by Louise Kraus, Irene Zelmer, Louise Heim and Mrs. Harold Heim. Hostesses were Mrs. J. R. Rasmussen, Mrs. Frank Wright, Mrs. Emil Deeth, Mrs. Clarence Gliem, Mrs. Jack Kastl and Mrs. Ed O’Tool.The bride was graduated from the Scranton Consolidated school with the class of 1941. She has been at home since the first of the year.The bridegroom was graduated from the Holy Family school at Lidderdale. He has been engaged in farming the past four years. Mr. and Mrs. Kraus will be at home after September 25 at Lake City, Iowa.Guests who attended the wedding wore: Kev. T. J. Perion, Rev.tL. F.
