MUCH MARRIED MAN LANDS IN COUNTY JAIL BECAUSE HE HAS TOO MANY WIVESWhen Don Juan E. Willard, employe of a local automobile house, sought the services of the Presbyterian minister at Sterling to officiate at his marriage with Miss Matilda M. Mauser, of Big Springs, at the tSerling parsonage on Sunday, September 11, he neglected to state that he had a wife and two children in Scott county, Iowa, After Ills marriage with Miss Mauser they are reported to have come to Sidney and resided for several days at a private home in this city.Brothers of the bride are said to have come to Sidney to see her and in some manner learned that Mrs.* Willard No.1 and her two children had been in Sidney some months ago visiting the gay Juan who at that time made no bones’ about his Iowa family ties. The wife and children returned to Scott county, but Willard remained here and later sought the hand of Miss Mauser in marriage. As a result of the disclosures made by the second Mrs. Willard’s brothers, during the past few days, Willard was arcsted and is now held in the county jail with serious charges pending against him. It is stated that Mrs. Willard No. 2 is well off in her own right, but up to the time he landed in jail she had made no money gifts to her bigamous spouse.
