MatrimonialGlanfield — PosthumusRapid City United Churchwas the scene of a wedding on Saturday, Aug. 17, when Maria °Gertje, eldest daughter of Mr. aand Mrs. Frank Posthumus, of PRapid City, became the brideof Harold Edward David Gian- ci field, son of Mrs. Wanda Glanfield, of Winnipeg. Rev. G. G. fr Harris officiated at I he double jj. ring ceremony. Mrs. Fred Hales 1* played the wedding music and s » Mrs. Ben Christie, jr., was JI soloist. j The bride, given in marriage' by her father, chose a floor length gown of crystal charm J ; with an overlay of embroidered , lace on the front of the bodice )* and a matching insert in the ‘ 1 skirt front. The fitted bodice ; 1 featured a high front neckline . ; and V at the back, an empire; waistline and lily point sleeves.- The skirt was fashioned withr deep knife pleats in the back- to give a bustle effect. A cathe-1 dral train was attached to the 3 bodice by a picture bow. A ' s tiara of aurora borealis held a , long veil with an elbow length f overlay of hand embroidered •. tulle. She carried a bouquet of i Forever Yours red roses.- Miss Sandra Posthumus, sister 1 of the bride, was maid ofe honor and bridesmaids were f Miss Ruth Walker and Miss e Cathy Fedoruk. They wore s dresses of blue nylon organza- over pink taffeta fashioned on r the same lines as the bride’s f gown. Tiaras of aurora borealis y held pale pink whimsy veils. They carried colonial bouquetsof white carnations and violets, cl Flowergirls, Misses Elaine s and Linda Posthumus, sisters f of the bride, wore blue nylon li bouffant skirts and printed bodices over pink taffeta, anda trimmed with large picture h bow sashes. They carried mini-r ature nosegays of yellow and f white carnations and wore e matching headdresses.h Mr. Ronald Lisecki was best t- man. Ushers were Mr. Frank Posthumus, jr., brother of the d bride, and Mr. Albert Gunn.The mother of the bride e wore a sea green lace dress I- and jacket ensemble with beige e accessories. The groom’s moth-er chose a brown jersey knit f dress with orange trim, and e orange and beige accessories.Both had corsages of white n roses.d Mr. Frank Veenbass, uncleP of the bride, proposed the toast* to the bride at the reception e held in the Rapid City Legion n Hall.r, For travelling, the bride d chose a two-piece co-ordinate ensemble of sky blue and black check wool with black and white accessories. Her corsage was a pink cymbidium orchid.Following a honeymoon tripto the West Coast and North-u ern States, Mr. and Mrs. Glan-e field have taken up residence in Winnipeg.
