CASS-CORNELL.One of the prettiest church weddings in Englewood occurred Tuesday evening, September 16, at eight o'clock at the Englewood Christian church, when Miss Mabelle Jane Cass, daughter of Mrs. Emma Cass of 451 64tli St., became the bride of Ir. Edward Lyman Cornell of Englewood, The church was tastefully decorated with palms, and the color scheme green and white. Preceding the wedding Mr, Delos Owen rendered several organ numbers, after which Mrs. Daisy Clemmons Judson sang two beautiful wedding songs. Rev. C. G. Kindred officiated. Mrs. Grace Wright Hamilton acted as matron of honor; Misses Edna Laldwin and Louise Rapp, bridesmaids, and Miss Jeanette Baldwin, flower girl. Dr. Earl B. Fowler was best man, and Mr. Carl F. Brown, master of ceremonies. Ushers were Mr. A. Floyd Hamilton, Mr. F. Harris Wells and Mr. William M. Bridges. A general reception was held in the lobby of the church, after which a wedding supper was served at the bride’s home to the bridal party and relatives. After a boart trip down the Mississippi, Dr. and Mrs. Cornell will reside at 7204 Emerald Ave., and will be at home to their friends after October 15.A number of showers were given in honor of Miss Cass.Saturday, September 13, Miss Cass delightfully entertained her Sunday school class, “22,” of the Christian church.
