Accompanied by his handsome young friend Jan. Zachary, who alone shared his confidence, he came to Brook haven early Tuesday morning, procured his license, and returning, that afternoon took bis bride-elect, Miss Jariah Session*, in his buggy and rode over to the home of Rev. K. P. Douglass, where the happy couple were soon pronounced man and wife. They then proceeded to Mr. East’s comfortable home at Red Star, where they arrived in the glow of the autumn setting sun.Mr. East i* oue of the “solid men** of northwest Lincoln aud his many friends rejoice to hear of his good fortune iu winning the heart aud hand of such an estimable companion as the bride is known to be. He and his grown sons own a store and steam gin and mill at Red Star, where they do a prosperous business and h^ ow ns oue of the most comfortable country homes in the county. It affords The Leader special pleasure to refer to the fact that Mr. East is one of the original Prohibitionists of Lincoln county, and that he and his sons fired the first cannon that opened the memorable Prohibition campaign iu Lincoln in lHHfi. Mrs. East is a sister of Mr. Joseph C i. Sessions of Montgomery, (who is well known to our county readers), aud is a most excellent woman, said by those who know her to be in every way worthy of the gentleman into whose hands she has confided her future.The Leader unites with other friends in wishing the worthy couple many years of joyous wedded life.
