Ferguson—EckelWhite gladioli and fern* with tail white tapers lighted in wrought iron branched canbdebra formed the setting for the marnage at 1 p.m. in Division Street Church on Saturday, August 30th, of June Violet Eckd of Owen Sound, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Eckel of Williamsford and George Ure Ferguson, Weston, only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ferguson. Rev. Dr. lH. W. Vaughan conducted the double ring ceremony and Miss Catherine Baird was at the organ to blay the traditional wedding music, the Lohengrin Bridal Chorus and the Mendelssohn Wedding March. She also played softly during the ceremony. There were seventy-five guests. The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. E. Krause of Williamsford and was attractively gowned in white brocaded satin made with slit neckline, cap sleeves, the bodice finished with a peplum pointed at the back and the very full skirt falling in a train. Her long gloves were made of the brocade, her veil of net which fell beyond the train of her dress was arranged on a cap of the white brocade, her sandals were silver, she- wore her mother's pearls and carried a cascade of pink Butterfly roses and adiantum fern with white satin ribbons. Mrs. Frank Cobb of Weston, sister of the bride was matron of honor, her long pink chiffon gown worn over taffeta made with full bishop sleeves, very full skirt and high neckline the bodice shirred at the front. Her sandals were gold. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Lloyd Jackson, sister of the bride and Miss Marion McMillan, the former’s gown styled like that of the matron of honor in rose chiffon over taffeta, the latter in blue brocaded satin made with short sleeves., sweetheart neckline and full skirt. They wore halos of braided net with shoulder veils matching their gowns and silver sandals. The-bride’s little niece, Louise Cobb of Weston was flower girl wearing a long dress of blue embroidered organdy over taffeta, with white shoes, gloves and blue flowers tied with pink ribbons on her hair. The attendants all carried nosegays of roses, cornflowers and sweet peas accenting the tones of their gowns. Allen Powell of Weston was groomsman, Clare Woolner of Toronto and Ted Lavender of Mt. Dennis, brother-in-law of the groom, ushers. Receiving the guests at Morrison’s Inn, Mrs. Eckel wore pink faconne crepe with black hat and accessories, her corsage* of cornflowers and creamA - 1roses. She was assisted by tke ] groom’s mother, who wore light k blue faconne crepe with white ac- r ceisories and a corsage of Pinoc- I] shio roses. A buffet luncheon was served from a table centred with the three-tierred wedding cake ^ topped with a miniature bride and .?room, sweet peas and gladioli -lorets in crystal bowls and pink candles in silver candelbra. Luncheon assistant* were Mr*. Jean \ Fulcher, Mrs. C. Lyde Olmsead * Miss Lenore Middleton and Miss c Helen Lauber. Leaving for the I honeymoon trip to Sarnia, Windsor, 8 Detroit, London, Niagara Falls and oints south, the bride wore a c rown tailored suit, white brocaded I satin blouse, brown accessories and t corsage of yellow roses. Guests were present from Toronto Weston and Wiarton. flCarroll—Green ?i 1In St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Weston, Mary Glmeda a Green, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E William Green, became the bride of James Edward Carroll, son of Martin Carroll. Rev. Father Keane offi- v dated, and Mrs. Wililam Greene * sang with Mis Mary O’Sullivan at the organ. The bride was given in S marriage by her father and wore b a floor length gown of white satin, j She was attended hy Miss Grace a Green, who wore a blue taffeta \ gown. The best rjian was D’Arcy ^ Carroll and the ushers were Jack Carroll and Martin Carroll. U The bride wore, a dress of white v crepe with sweetheart neckline, and a shoulder length veil which fell ' from a braided headdress.v She wore a corsage of red roses.
