Miss Kamp weds Randy Joe BennettThe wedding of Miss Judith Annette Kamp and Randy Joe Bennett was solemnized on Saturday afternoon, August 14 at 2 o’clock at the Harrisburg First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Don Burroughs and the Rev. J. Wesley Bennett officiated at the double ring ceremony.The altar was decorated with wedding bouquets of carnations, daisies, baby’s breath and greens, candelabra and the kneeling bench. The church pews were marked with white bows.The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gene A. Kamp of 15 Fairfax Drive. The bridegroom’s parents are the Rev. and Mrs. J. Wesley Bennett of Woodstock.The former Miss Kamp was given in marriage by her parents and wore a white Qiana gown with Alencon lace appliques that accented the empire waist and edged the sheer shoulder insets, cap sleeves, high neck and hem of the gown and chapel length train. She wore a floral crown of silk flowers to which a three-fourths length veil was attached for her headpiece and carried a bouquet of white silk roses, carnations, lily of the valley and stephanotis.Miss Joanne Kamp, twin sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a blue fantasy print polyester silk gown with a chiffon cape of the same print and carried a bouquet of assorted blue and purple silk flowers and a floral headpiece.Janice Coleman, sister of the bride, and Karen Wentz were bridesmaids. She wore a white eyelet gown with a light blue underskirt and carried a basket of assorted blue silk flowers.Jay Bennett, of Beloit, Wis., brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Greg Bennett and Brock Bennett, brothers of the bridegroom, were groomsmen. Jerry Coleman, Rod Haggerty and William Moyers were ushers. They wore brown tuxedoes with velvet vests and bow ties and white ruffled shirts.The mother of the bride wore a mauve polyester street length dress trimmed with chiffon ruffles. The bridegroom’s mother chose a light peach colored polyester street length dress with a sheer cape collar and full skirt.Dr. James Wilson was soloist and Mrs. Wilma Wilson was organist. Wedding selections were O Ixird Most Holy,” “Love Divine, All Loves Ex-*t!emrtg” and “May The Mind of Christ Our Saviour.” The bride’s processional was “Trumpet Voluntary in D Major.”Assembled guests joined to sing the hymn, “Praise To The Lord,” and repeated The Lord’s Prayer. The wedding party recessed to apostlude of “Hymn To Joy.”A reception was held in Wesley Center at the church. Wedding hostess was Mrs. Cheryl Beasley. Reception servers were Candy Duffey, Pam Hermon, Dawn Stewart and Lori Wilson. The guest book was attended by Charlotte Aif.The bride is a 1982 graduate of Greenville College. Mr. Bennett is also a 1982 graduate of Greenville College and is presently Associate Minister of Knox Knolls Free Methodist Church in Springfield.Following the wedding trip to the Kentucky I^ke area and Opryland, the couple is living in Springfield.Pre-nuptial activities included a shower given by Mrs. J. A. Bottomley.Out of town guests were from Greenville, Carterville, Springfield, Mt. Carmel, Peoria, Lawrenceville,Bloomington. Chicago Heights, Carmi,Glen Ellyn in Illinois; Ottumwa, Iowa; Flint, Mich, and Beloit, Wis.
