Mr. and Mrs. Rick MillerRoskam-Miller Wed Aug. 1Ruth Roskam and Hick Miller were united in marriage on Aug. 1, 1981 at Hawarden, Iowa at the Community Reformed Church. The Rev. Ralph Van Rheenen, officiated at the double ring ceremony.The parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Roskam and Mr. and Mrs. Ward Miller of Hudson.The altar was deeorated with candleabras, floral arrangements of mums and daisies and two blooming plants with a unity candle. Each pew was decorated with flowers, also of the bride’s chosen colors of yellow, peach and brown.The candlelighters were Alan Roskam and Ryan Miller.The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of organza with a high neckline trimmed with imported alencon lace and seed pearls. The sheer yoke was accented with sehiffli embroidery and the caped sleeve effect was done with a double layer around the yoke flounce. The full skirt fell from a semiempire waistline to a hemline that was edged with miniature rows of lace and fell to a chapel length train. The tiara styled headpiece used matching alencon lace andpehrlin'g as: well as two tiers of imported veiling, each bordered with lace and the lower tier was the new waltz length, completing the total bridal look.She carried a bouquet of yellow and peach roses and carnations and a white lace crocheted handkerchief that was made bySundvold with Beth Roskam and Roxanne Miller as herbridesmaids. They wore peachfloral matching ensembles and carried yellow and peach carnations and roses. Leah Roskam was the flower girl. She wore a yellow floor length dress and carried a basket of carnations and daisies. The bride’s personal attendant. was Petra Andela. Assisting with the pinning of the flowers was Jan Van Veldhuizen.The groom was attired in an off-white tuxedo with'tan specks and off white pants with a brown stripe. His boutonniere was a . peach rose. His best man was Bob Miller, Groomsmen were Todd Thorpe and Daryl Roskam. They wore tan tuxedos and peach carnations as the boutonniere. Weylin Miller was the ring bearer.' He wore an off white tuxedo with tan specks and brown pants and his boutonniere mat-.ched the groom’s., Ushers were Dave Miller, Darwin Roskam, Dave McKee and Rod Osterkamp.
