Mrs. Fred Emerson (Betty Ruff) was honor guest at a bri dal shower Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Earl Arnett, South Logan. Prizes won by Mrs. Pauline Summers and Mrs. Clif Strawn were presented to the guest of honor. Attending were Mrs. Robert Emerson Sr., Mrs. Porter Ruff, Mrs. Don Weis, Mrs. Karl Poling, Mrs. Clif Strawn, Mrs. Pauline Summers, Miss Erma Fox, Mrs. Clarence Kornmiller, Mrs. Allen Adair, Miss Marilyn Dauben mire, Mrs. William Miller, Mrs. Sam Nihiser and Mrs. Larry Kitchen. Unable to attend but sending gifts were Mrs. Ray Reinscheld, Mrs. Winona Moder, Miss Connie Smith, Mrs. Edith Church, Mrs. Andrea Michael, Mrs. Christine Brown, Mrs. Ray Grover, Miss Lois Stahr and Mrs. Raymond Mohler igh Ann Cook and David La- Follette. The October meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. La- Follette and Mrs. Bray will pre sent the program. Thursday Luncheon Held Eleven members and four guests were present at the Thursday luncheon meeting of the Among Ourselves Club held at Brandt’s restaurant in the Mecca Room, with Mrs. H. D. Arnold the hostess. Guests were Mrs. Fred Arnold of Bartlett, O., house guest and sister-in-law of the hostess; Mrs. Charles Da vis of Columbus, sister and house guest of Mrs. Tom Price, and Mrs. Albert Seabright. Following the one o'clock luncheon Mrs. Howard Rolston, president, conducted the business meeting which she opened with two poems. Officers elected were Mrs. George Schwenke, president; Mrs. Harry Smith, vice president; Mrs. Paul Colli son, secretary; and Mrs. Carl M. Brown, treasurer. Topic of the program, present ed by Mrs. Smith, was “Ohio and the Northwest Territory.” Games were enjoyed during the social hour with prizes awarded to winners. Pomona Grange Meets ahte September meeting of Hocking County Pomona Grange was con ducted by Arlie Brimner, mas ter. During the business session Mrs. Harold Nihiser, Sr., home economics chairman, announced future contests in which grange members will participate. Re marks were offered by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Klinger. Grange de puties and appeals from three granges were read by Mrs. Arlie Brimner, acting secretary. New officers elected were: Charles Bryant, master; Marion Beery, overseer; Mrs. Robert Holloway, lecturer; Glenner Wea ver, steward; George Wolfe, as sistant steward; Mrs. John Bownes, Ceres; Miss Thelma Mowrey, Pomona; Mrs. Verna Rheinscheid, Flora; Mrs. Mar ion Beery, chapman; Carl Poling, treasurer; Mrs. Vernie Stahr, secretary; Amos Ellinger, gate keeper; Walter North, executive committeeman; Oscar Blum, leg islative agent, and Mrs. Harold Nihiser, Sr., home economics chairman. Refreshments were served fol lowing a social hour by Antioch Grange members.
