Mercer of Camp Watovvright officiated.The bride was given in marriage by her brother Roy, and was lovely In a floor-length gown of white net over satin, featuring lily point sleeves, fitted lace bodice and a hooped skirt ending In a slight train. Her thre e-quarter -length veil misted from a pearl and rhinestone-encrusted headpiece. Her only Jewellery was a necklace of black diamonds with matching earrings, gift of the groom, She carried a white prayer book with white satin streamers and red roses.Miss Doreen Moncrieff, niece of the bride was very sweet in white chiffon over blue taffeta with white bonnet and gloves, and carried a pink basket with pink and white daisies. The bride's gifts to her attendants were matching necklace and earring sets.Mr. Robert Dalton was best man, and ushers were Robert Moncrieff and Hector Cartier.The organist was Mr. O. Griffiths, and during the signing of the register, Mr, Ford sang The Wedding Prayer.For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Moncrieff chose a navy blue dress with blue accessories, and corsage of white carnations. The groom's mother wore a blue figured silk dress with pink accessories, and wore a white carnation corsage.The bride's gift to the groom was a cuff link and tie Clip set. The groom's gift to his best man and ushers wore gold cuff links. The wedding photos were taken by Thorp's Photo.The reception was held in the Elk's Hall, which was decorated with pink and white bells and streamers. The .Ladies of the Royal Purple very ably catered to a lovely turkey supper. The guest tables were set with white bridal napkins and fresh garden flowers. The hrido's table was draped In white and the four-tfered wedding cake, beautifully decorated by Mrs. Georgina Myggland, was flanked by tall tapers. Covers were laid for ninety guests. .Miss Doris Moncrieff was in charge of the guest book.A separate table was laid for nine young guests celebrating tbe third birthday of Miss Georgina Moncrieff, niece of the bride. Toast to the bride was proposed by Rev. Mercer, and responded to by the groom.Telegrams from Alice and Alan Hil-ittnd and boys, and Mildred and Walter Rogers were read by the beat man.Following the reception, many lovely wedding girts were opened and displayed. The wedding party then drove to Fnsschendalo for the wedding dance.For a honeymoon to points couth, the bride chose a black box-style suit with white accessories.Out of town guests included Miss Helen Dalton and Mias Torvll Moncrieff of Edmonton: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Peacock, Rod Deer; Mr. and Mrs. Mor-vin McCluskey, Mr. Ritchie Moncrfoff, Mrs. Jas. Reinhart and Mr. Cecil Morrison, all of Rlbstone.The happy couple are at home to their friends on the groom's farm north of Fabyan,Mrs. Albert Dalton honored at showerMrs. Albert Dalton was guest of honor at a miscellaneous shower held at the homo of Mrs, Allen Taylor on Tuesday afternoon, 26th AugustAbout forty ladles were present, and tho afternoon passed quickly. Two contests given out by Mrs. Wlllcrton made up tho entertainment. In the prettily decorated living room, our bride of the month was seated in a chair, conveniently placed so that a Doctor and Nurse had sufficient room to bring to a stretcher, concealing a crib filled with lovely gifts. On tho stretcher was a baby puppy, also a gift. Our hostess, Mrs. Taylor, mado tho presentation, welcoming Mrs. Dalton to the district, on behalf of the ladles present, and the Doctor (Miss Hazel Dalton) and Nurse (Elaine Haycock) assisted In opening tho gifts. A lovely lunch was served by tho ladles, and Ruby In turn thanked everyone for their lovely gifts. The afternoon drew to a close by all singing For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow.
