They were married yesterday by Municipal Judge Thomas M. Foley. Juvenile authorities opposed the marriage but Superior Judge George Steiger permitted it out of deference to their unborn child. The bride, Cecilia Ramirez, wept for joy during the ceremony in the judge’s chambers. Then she accompanied her husband to the restaurant wrhere he plays with the orchestra and they had a wedding dinner.Today they were housekeeping at the home of the brfdegroom’s parents, and their romance that had been a legal issue for three months was settled happily. When they first applied for a marriage license, Judge Steiger asked them whether they expected a child. They said they did not and he ordered them both back to high school.Last week they returned with a doctor's certificate saying that Cecilia was an expectant mother. Judge Steiger relented after debating the problem with juvenile officers, whothought that the baby should be al-P2u.a:t?Pca8cPvtsit(lowed to come out of wedlock and be placed in charge of Juvenile Court. The bride’s parents had approved the marriage, but under California law the court must approve the license applications of children under 16.
