On Thursday afternoon, Sept. 8th. at 5 o’clock Mis Emma J. Gordon and Capt. Ladson B.MoCntchen were very quietly married at the home of thr bride’s mother at Lanes. Only immediate members of the family were invited, and a few intimate friends The ceremony was simple but beautiful in its solemnity, the Kev. O. D. Loving of Virginia officiating. Miss Gordon devoted four or five years of her life to teaching in the schools of neighboring towns. Capt. McCutchenis a prominent conductor of theAtlantic Coast Line. Mrs. Me. Cntchen is a sister of Mrs. L. Maozon of your oity.
