Navy at Norfolk. V'a . j and a young Washington street j woiuan were wed in St Ann’s H (’ Church Saturday at the hour of two o'clock by th** Rev Peter Plnci. J The bride is Miss Doris R. Paletta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Frank Paletta. 416 Washington street, and j the bridegroom is Seaman Willis Gillespie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Gillespie, of Almonesson.Mr Paletta gave his daughter in marriage. The young woman was attired in satin and French lat e. J The model featured long sleeves, j bodice, ami front and back panels of lace, the panel at tin* rear extending the length of her train. Her lace head-plece held a scallop- j ed finger-tip veil. She carried a j cascade of white orchids and ste- 1 phanotisThe attendants of the bride were three in number, namely Mrs. j George Bowver, Radcliffe street.) j matron of honor; the Misses Gloria ! Ferraro. Wood street, and Anna DeRiai, Pond street, as bridesmaids. The matron of houor wore turqu-oise tone costume; the other two. coral-berry. The gowns which were strapless, had bodices of velvet, with velvet stoles, and skirts and yokes of nylon tulle. Their feathered hats matched their gowns, the hats having rhinestone trim. Mrs. Bowyer wore gold-toned slippers, and carried a cascade of small j yellow chryanthemums and ivy. i The other two attendants had slip-1 pers of silver; and their cascades! were made up of white ’mums and ivy. The trio wore pearl spray earrings, gifts from the bride. To them also the bride presented sets of costume jewelry.Mr. George Bowyer. Radcliffe 1 street, was best man for Seaman Gillespie; and ushers were Messrs. j Ervin Leichliter and John Griffiths, Bath street.Dinner at 5:30 was served at Pennsbury Inn, Falls township.When the newlyweds left for New York. N. Y., xvhere they will remain for a week, Mrs. Gillespie was attired In a black faille suit trimmed with black velvet; red-feathered felt hat; black accessories; and wore a white orchid She i will reside with her parents while her husband is in the service The bride is a graduate of Bristol high school, and is employed by Kaiser Metal Products Co.
