They drove to Rock Island Saturday morning, September 10, andwere married at five o'clock p. m., at the parfconajfe of the First Baptist church. ^ith the parlor, the Rev. Mr.Carson, officiating. They spent Saturday r.ight in Davenport and returned to the bride’* home in Keota Sunday evening.Mr. Kerchner and hi* bride were school mate* when they w*erc children attending the West Chester public school. They were bom on adjoining farms and their parents were friends of Ion*? tanding.Mr. Kerchner is a salesman for an asphalt roofing company in Chicago. He will travel out of Keota and they will make their home here.Mrs. Kerchner’ft neighbors and friend- gave them a rousing old-time charh an Tuesday night.
