Thomasville, Georgia, September 14, 1957MISS CAROLYN PORTERi Carolyn Porter Engaged , To Floyd H Searcy Jr.Mr. and Mrs. Edward Barnard Porter of Thomasville announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Carolyn Porter, to Floyd Hartsfield Searcy Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd H. Searcy also of Thomasville.The wedding will be held Oct. 5 in the First Baptist Church,Miss Porter was graduated from Thomasville high school : in June of 1956 .and was in the Thomasville Rose Court the [ same year. During the past year she has been employed , in Atlanta.Mr. Searcy was graduated from Thomasville High School 1 fai June of 1953. While there he was on the football team and played baseball. On Aug. 22 of this year he was graduated from the University of Georgia.
