ANGELINE ROCK BECOMES BRIDE OF SGT. JOSEPH CANADA, JR.St. Rita's R. C. Church, South Second street, West Side, was the scene of a lovely late summer wedding Tuesday morning, September 10, when Angelina Rock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Rock of 205 South Tenth street, West Side, became the bride of Staff Sergeant Joseph Canada, Jr., son of Air. and Mrs. Joseph Canada of Juniata road.Rev, Father Henry DeVivo, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony before an altar embanked with ferns and gladioli.Franklin PiJla, nephew of the bride, was altar boy.Given in marriage by her father, the bride was beautiful in a gown of white satin and net and a fingertip veil cascading from a heart-shaped crown. White roses and gladioli, tied with a white satin ribbon bow, formed her bridal bouquet.Mrs. Edward Metzgar, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. She was attired in a pink jersey and net gown. Her headdress -was fashioned of pink net and pink feathers. She carriedpink roses and blue delphinium,tied with a pink satin ribbonbow.For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Sock wore a black and whitedress with black accessories. The bridegroom’s mother wore a navy blue dress with black accessories. Their corsages were of gardenias.After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served in the home of the bride’s parents, places being laid for'fifty immediate members of the two families. A four-tiered wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom, centered the table.Mrs. Canada was graduated from ConnellsviUe High School and is an employe of Anchor I Hocking Glass Corporation.Sergeant Canada, a graduate of Dunbar Township High School, is at present convalescing at Hal-loran General Hospital, Staten Island, N. Y.; from wounds received in combat in Germany, He had been in the Army of the United States for four years and wears the' Purple Heart and Combat Infantryman’s Badge.The newlyweds left for a wedding trip, destination unrevealed, and on their return the bride will reside with her parents and the bridegroom will report to Hal-loran General Hospital for further treatment, For her going-away outfit, Mrs. -Canada chos ea poudre blue suit with black accessories, and a corsage of pink roses. '
