Miss Marilyn Sue Wooldridge and Thomas Edward Schwen-denman were married at two thirty o’clock last Saturday afternoon in St. Mary’s Catholic Church.Father James Dooley officiated at the double-ring ceremony. On the altar were two baskets of white gladioli and mums, palms and candelabra. The pews were marked with white and the white aisle cloth was used for the entrance of the wedding party.Mrs. George Wooldridge, R. 1, Falmouth, and the late Mr. Wooldridge are the parents of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schwendenman, R. 7, are the groom’s parents.Mrs. Joseph Schroeder, organist, played “Bridal Chorus, from Lohengrin,” Wagner; “Mother at Your Feet is Kneeling,” Sister S. C.; “Ave Maria,” Schubert; “The Lord’s Prayer,” Ma-lotte; “O Lord I am Not Worthy”; “0 Promise Me,” de Ko-ven; “Because,” d’Hardelot and “Wedding March,” Mendelssohn.The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Charles Wooldridge, Rushville, chose a floor-length A-line gown of Angelskin peau with rounded neckline and short sleeves. Reembroidered Alencon lace with French imported pearls accented the neckline, sleeves and hemline. The detachable court train, extending from the shoulders, was accented with lace. The shoulder-length veil was secured to a crown of pearls. She carried a cascade of pom pon chrysanthemums centered with a hybrid orchid accented with blue velvet ribbon. Her only jewelry was a diamond pendant, a gift of the groom.Miss Helen Schwendenman, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. She wore a floor-length gown of light blue crepe enhanced with light blue velvet bands at the empire waistline. The bodice was designed with a bateau neckline and short sleeves. A light blue velvet bow accented the back. She wore white gloves and cultured pearl in a gold leaf, gifts of the bride, and carried a nosegay of ice blue and medium blue carnations accented with light blue streamers.Michael Schwende nman,brother of the groom, was best man. Ushers were John Wooldridge, brother of the bride, andGeorge Wooldridge, nephew of the bride,' Indianapolis.The bride’s mother wore a light pink lace, over taffeta, dress with hot pink hat and gloves and black patent accessories. The bridegroom’s mother chose a teal blue crepe dress with jeweled neckline with black accessories. Both mothers had corsages of phalaenopsis orchids.A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The serving table was laid with a lace cloth over light blue accented with blue bows. A four-tier cake accented with light blue tinged roses and topped with a miniature bride and groom, centered the table.Punch was served from a crystal bowl. An arrangement of gladioli and white and blue pom pons completed the table appointments. Serving the guests were Mrs. Paris Cross, Jr., Lewisville, Miss Charlotte Wooldridge, sisters of the bride, and Mrs. Wendell Richardson, Mun-cie. Mrs. Richardson also registered the guests.For a trip through northern states, the bride traveled in a three-piece navy knit suit trimmed in white with navy accessories and the orchid from her bridal bouquet. The couple will reside on R. 7.The bride graduated from Mays High School and is employed as a waitress at the Durbin Hotel. The bridegroom graduated from Rushville High School in 1958 and is employed at Perfect Circle Corp. He served two years in the United States Army.Rainbow^ for GirlsThe Order of the Rainbow for Girls of Milroy Assembly 89 held a regular stated meeting Monday evening at the Milroy Masonic Temple.Beth VanOsdol, Worthy Advisor. presided. June Alexander, Mother Advisor protem, was also present. Mr. and Mrs. Davis, Grand Deputy and Grand Lecturer of District 14 were introduced and seated in the East. Mrs. Margaret Shoppelle Worthy Matron of Milroy Order of Eastern Star 471, was also introduced and seated in the East. Past Matrons and Patrons and Past Worthy Advisors were also introduced.New officers elected were: Connie Sherwood, Worthy Advisor; Claudia Crane, Worthy Associate Advisor; Jayne Ann Jolliff, Charity; Linda Wiley, Hope; Joetta Brees, Faith. It was announced that the School of Instruction will be held September 21 at Connersville.Installation for Worthy Advisor Connie Sherwood will be held September 28 at 7:30 p.m.in the Milroy Masonic Temple.The meeting was closed in the regular manner.Mays SymposiumThe Mays Symposium Club met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Worth Hodson, R. 3.Mrs. Edward Reeves, president, opened the meeting withall repeating the club Collect. Some very interesting topics were given for roll call. Mrs. Joe Hodson gave the secretary’s report. A thank-you note was read from Mr. and Mrs. Clay Shields, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently. A letter was read from the National Foundation asking to be remembered in this year’s budget. Mrs. Jack Gilson announced the group will meet in Knightstown on October 8 at 9 o’clock for a trip to Lafayette Square, in Indianapolis.Mrs. Lot Newhouse gave the program reading stories about the childhood of Sam Levinson, which was most interesting.The hostess served tasty refreshments to 12 members and three children.
