BERRYHILL-WUBBENMiss Frances Berryhill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Berryhill of Buffalo Center, and Mr. Johnnie Wubben, son of Mrs. John Knapper of Britt, were united in marriage on Wednesday forenoon, September 3 at eleven o'clock, at the home of the bride’s brother,. Fisher of Popejoy, played the Bridal Chorus from “Lohengrin,” while the bridegroom and best man, Allan Berryhill, brother of the bride, waited in the living room, in the midst of beautiful bouquets of gladiolas, for the bride andher bridersmaid, Miss Marian Berryhill, sister of the bride, and her father, who gave her in marriage.The Rev. W. J. Snarr, pastor of the Popejoy Methodist church, performed the double ring ceremony.The bride was dressed in a light blue, street length crepe dress, with a corsage of rust color baby chrysanthemums and lillies; the bridesmaid wore a tan dress, with a corsage of red rose buds.The bridegroom wore a blue suit. Following the ceremony a two-course luncheon was served, the bride cut the wedding cake which was decorated with a miniature bride and groom.Those present were Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Berryhill, Allan, Gerald, Clinton, Leroy and Glenda Berryhill of Buffalo Center; Mrs. John Knap-per, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Eenhues, and Mrs. Jerry Knaper of Britt; Martin Wubben and Henry Wubben of Buffalo Center; Marian Berryhill of Iowa City; the Rev. and Mrs. W. J. Snarr and Jimmie Snarr, Mrs. J. W. Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Berryhill, Ruby and David Wayne Berryhill, all of Popejoy.The bride grew to young womanhood in the vicinity of Buffalo Center. She attended the rural schooland was graduated from the Buffalo Center high school, after which she was employed as teacher in a rural school in Franklin county for more than two years, during which time she made her home with Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Berryhill.
