Joseph Powers - -of Rockwell City, cousin of thebridesmaids were Mrs. William Laubenthal of Algona and Miss P-auline- Powers of Omaha, cousin of the bride. All wore identical white dresses with bodice waists of lace over taffeta with matching boleros. The floor-length tiered skirts were of tulle net over taffeta. Their hats were sweetheart style with marching lace and rosebud trim. J u d y Fries of Danville, 111., niece of the groom, was dressed as a junior bridesmaid and Maurice‘'bride, sang the Ave Maria. The attendants were William Laubenthal of Algona, twin brother of the groom, and. Larry Wetters of Rinard, and ushers were Joseph Powers and James Laubenthal of Cylinder. All wore navy blue suits with white carnation boutonnieres.A reception was held for 250 relatives and friends at the Country club immediately after the ceremony. A buffet luncheon was served later to relatives. A 42-inch., wedding cake, topped with red roses and white .ribbons, centered, . the bride's table at the reception and a two-tiered cake was served at the buffet luncheon; Mrs. Harry Heeren had charge of the guest hook, and Jearmine Free1 man and Joann .Goddard the punch howl. Coffee servers were Mrs. Dennis Capesius of Mallard, aunt of the groom, and Mrs. John Clark of Rockwell City, Mrs. James Laubenthal of Cylinder, sister-in-law of the groom, and Miss Margery Fickbohm of Rockwell City, cut and served the cake. He served Bai for some time in the armed forces and has received his honorable discharge from the service. He is engaged in farming near Cylinder.For her going-away costume the bride chose a blue suit with brown accessories.
