BETTY ALTOM MARRIES LIEUT. G. W. EPPERSONBetty Altom was married to Lieutenant G. W. Epperson, Friday September 3, in a beautiful candlelight ceremony before an alter banked with white gladiola and a lighted Cross, in First Mehtodist Church, Centralia, 111., with the Rev. E. U. Yates officiating.The bride who was attired in a light blue suit with black accessories and wearing a corsage of white rosebuds set in pink gladiola, was given in marriage by her father. She carried a white Bible, the gift of her grandparents.She was attended by her cousin Miss Margie Caldwell, of Clinton, 111-linois, who was also dressed in light blue with black accessories. She wore a corsage of pink roses.Pfc. Jack Epperson, brother of the groom, who is a member of a Military band in Detroit, Michigan, served as best man.Ushers were Naval Cadet Harry Brown, of Memphis, Tenn., and Charles Rudd, of Centralia.Mrs. Henry Bryan was organist and played several appropriate selections preceding the ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Altom of Patoka. She , is a graduate of the Sandoval High School and a Senior of SIU, Car-bondale, where she is a member of 'he Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority.The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarnce Epperson, 329% S. Lincoln, Centralia, is a Navigator and Bombardier with the Army Air Corp. He has been stationed in Carlsbad, New Mexico, where he was recently commissioned .He will report at Oklahoma Ciy, September 9, for Combat Training.The couple plan to visit in Indianapolis, Ind., for a few days before leaving for Oklahoma City.
