Every roum in the wery home was thrown open, brilliantly lighted and decorated. The color scheme in the rooms on the first floor was artistic and beautifu. “The front parlor was in green and white, the second Parlor a veritable glow In yellow, and the djangroom wholly In sweet peas and feathery green; mmsses of these flowers attractively arranged making it very in vitim. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw stood upon a white fur rng in a bower of palms and ferns formed in the bow window of the front parlor and were assisted in receiving by Mr. and Mrs. John H. Gordon, Mrs. Shaw wore a beautiful dress of dainty Swiss mull, trimmed elaborately with real love and looked scavenly older than the bride of Twenty years ago. The guests were ushered by Miss Clara Steward. Misses Amerny Ginn and MUS. cent Vieras presided over the punch bowl, and delicious refreshments were served in the dining room by a quartette of young ladies—Missés Carrie Gilmore, Isabel Ginn, Maude Steward and Grave Burgess. All the attendants were prettily gowned in white. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw received a large num ber of valuable gifts, including pieces of ex quisite china, cut glass and sterling silver. ‘Mr. Shaw's gift to his wife was an elegant solitaire diamond ring. As musical program, 8 follows, was ren dered during the evening: Wedding march by Miss Chapin, Springfield, Mass.; vocal solos by John A. Kork of New York city and Mr. and Mrs... S. Pitcher; violin solo, Percy A. Sanborn; piano solo, Mrs. Aur prose Morrison. Among the guests from out of town were noted Mr. and Mr., John H.
