August 31 at 6:30.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ural M. Copple of Walnut Hill, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John W.Brashear of Centralia.As the guests were being seated, the pianist, Mrs. Mary Louise Garren played appropriate wedding selections. After the mothers had been seated. The final planning was completed for this project which wil be carried out during the next three success ve meetings of the club on Sept. 18, Oct. 2 and Oct. 16.Mrs. Wendell Bauer gave the Inspiration before the dinner. The topic session was in charge of Mrs. Charles Gross, with everyone talking on some phase of toastmistress training. Two new members, Mrs. Lowell Craver and Mrs. Edward A. Syms, were inducted into the Club by Mrs. David Woley.The toastmistress, Mrs. Bauer, introduced Mrs. Charles Eller, whoacted as Moderator of a round table discussion on “The Blue Caribbean Turns Red” with everyone present participating, giving their views and opinions on the Cubansituation.At the conclusion of the program, the business meeting was evaluated by Mrs. Eller and a general evaluation was made by Miss Marjorie Spieth. The timer’s report was given by Mrs. A. C. Mann.IMiss Jean McCarrey of Villa Grove, second vice president of the Illinois Federation of B. and F.W. Clubs, will speak at a dinner meeting of the Centralia Club Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Langenfeld llo-prayer, Joseph Putnam, minister of the church, officiated at the double ring ceremony.Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sis-ter, Mrs. Judith Lamb, and the sister of the groom, Mrs. Ethel Wilson. The groom chose as hisbes{ man Kenneth Jennings, and Jerry Gibson as groomsman. Michael Copple, brother, and David Lamb, brother-in-law of the bride, seated the wedding guests.The bride wore a full-length gown ot white dolustered Mallinson satin, with a bodice of French lace, portrait neckline and elbow-Iength sleeves. The skirt fell from deep pleats at each side featuring appliques of French lace encrusted with pearls and crystal beads, draped into a chapel-length train. Back interest was created by a double bustle at the waist. Her veil of silk illusion was held inplace with a Princess crown of pearls and crystals. She carried a cascade bouquet of apricot tipped carnations centered with ivory colored rosebuds.Matron of honor and attendant wore identical gowns of Apricot colored French Georgette. They were fashioned with portrait necklines, sleeveless, and full skirts with an Obi-effect sash in the back,matching wide brimmed garden hats, and cascade bouquets of ap-i ricot tipped carnations. Apricot satin slippers completed the ensembles.The mother of the bride greeted the guests in a Peacock blue silk sheath dress, with a matching clipped velvet hat and peacock blue accessories. Her flowers were white mums. The mother of the bridegroom wore a white linen sheath dress with short jacket, flowered hat, and toast-colored accessories. Her flowers were aqua mums.Following the ceremony, t h e guests attended the reception, where a four tiered wedding cake topped by white wedding bells surrounding a gold Christogram, centered the bride’s table. Her chosen colors of apricot, gold, andbeige were carried throughout the reception room Thoae serving were Mrs. Betty toneciper, Mrs. Jean Davis, and Miss Beverly Lancaster. Mrs. Lois Putnam was in charge of the guest book, and Miss Beverly Lamb was the gift table attendant.Preceding the rehearsal Friday evening, a dinner was given for the wedding party at the Chicken House by the groom’s parents.The bride and groom are blt;lh graduates of Centralia Township H:gh School, and the bride is a graduate of Centralia Junior College and is employed in the office of the J. C. Penney Company. The Groom is attending Centralia Junior College and is employed at the Sears, Roebuck, and Companyin Centralia.For her traveling attire the new Mrs. Brashear chose a navy blue and white silk suit, navy strawhat, and black patent accessories.Following a short wedding trip,couple are at home at 601 Beech in Centralia.the NWhat'sMONDAY
