Dickinson VanNess Wedding.Yesterday there occurred at three o!clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L, D. Dickinson, in Plum Creek township, the marriage of their daughter, Miss Alice Dickinson to J. A. VanNess of Mason City. ' The ceremony was performed by the groom’s father, Rev. J. G. VanNess, presiding elder of the Cedar Rapids district of the M. E. church. Rev. O. H. Holmes was also present and assisted.The wedding was a quiet one, being only witnessed by a few friends and the immediate relatives.It was while both of the contracting parties were attending Cornell college, that the admiration began which finally ripened into love and marriage.Mr. VanNess, after graduating from that institution established himself in the hardware business at Mason City, where he now enjoys a growing patronage. He is to be congratulated for wooing and winning one of Kossuth’s fairest daughters.
