The aocia. event of the season in the 1’exas neighborhood was the wedding of Mr. Oscar W. White,of North Caro* iina, ami Miss Mollie Marie Casey, which 4,00k place on Wednesday evening, August 31, lsyn, at 1 o’clock. The marriage ceremony was performed byUev. Father Michael O’Oonoghue, at St, Columbkille Catholic Church, iu Wilmington. The bride was gowned iu white brocade silk, trimmed in pearl psaameiitcry and silk lace, white gloves,slippers and hat, and au abundance of white roses. The groom wasdressed in the conventional black. Mr. Edward Moriarity, of Centerville, acted as best man, and Miss Lena Hil* lery, or Wasbiugtuu C. If., as bride’s-rnaid. Alter the ceremony they drove 11 to the home of the bride's uncle, Mr.T.C, Keefe,of the Texas neighborhood, where they were met at the end of the drive by Freshour * Hughes’ orchestra, of Wilmington, who marched before them up to the bouse playing a beautiful wedding march, and where they were received aud congratulated by over one hundred guests. The night was bewitcbiugly lovely and the music entrancing.
