At a few minutes past six o’clock Rev. Lippincott, the officiating minister, took his place and the bride* and groom walked out to him usaoeom-panied.byn escort and the knot was tied. After the ceremony was over and congratulations had been freely receiyed, the company repaired to the dining room and partook of the bountiful refreshments which were served.The bridal pair took the 11:23 train on the Rock Island for the west, where they will spend about a month visiting in Kansas City, Denver, Colorado Springs and other places, after which they will return home and be “at home” to their friends at Martin Westphal’s, on East Cass street.The wedding was a very quiet one, only a few relatives and friends being invited.Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Martin Weatphal, and family; Mr. and Mrs. Mark Sandiford, Mr. P. Sandiford, White Willow; Mr. and Mrs. Eben Bruce; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sandiford; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sandiford; Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Davis; Mrs. Wm. More' land, Kansas City; Misses Birdie Van Dusen, Bessie Cameron, Martha Staehle and Myrtle Puffer, and Miss Ella Bishop, of Chicago.The presents were very numerous and costly and showed the high esteem in which both young people were held by their many friends.
