Married in PennThe marriage vows of Miss Barbara Ann Marshall and Ronald F. Brown were solemnized Saturday, August 11, 1962, at a Nuptial Mass celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, Penn Yan. Double ring ceremony was performed by the Pastor, Msgr. Joseph J. Sullivan.Parents of the bride are Mr. i H and Mrs. Fred L. Marshall, 308 Court St. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence E. Brown, 71 West Lake Rd.IPalm trees and vase arrangements of white gladioli with majestic daisies decorated the altar. Mrs. Rita Harris, organisf, played the traditonal wedding march.Escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white longj sleeved, floor length gown of' chantilly lace appliqued with bow knot design. The Sabrena neckline adorned with pearls and sequins outlined the fitted lace bodice. The gown was accented by a full skirt of lace panels over nylon tulle. Her finger-tip veil trimmed with lace appliques of the bow knot design fell from a crown of aqua crystal beads of varied sizes. She carried a cascade bouquet of wjiite roses and lily of the valley.Miss Bonnie Marshall, sistermof the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of mint green organza over taffeta with matching picture hat and carried a cascade arrangement of white sweetheart roses.The bridesmaids were Miss Bonnie Brown, sister of the groom; Mrs. Patricia Denison, close friend of the bride, both of Penn Yan; Miss Carol Macko of Johnson City; Miss Patricia Harding of Sayre, Pr., both nursing classmates of the bride. They wore sunshine yellow gowns with matching picture hats identical to the maid of honor, and carried identical bouquets.Richard Brown, brother of the grown, was best man. Usherswith a corsage of yellow roses. The bridegoom’S mother wore a sheath dress of aqua silk organza over taffeta with a lace bodice and matching accessories. She wore a corsage of white roses.ir0]1!SHA buffet luncheon and reception for 200 guests was held at Lakeside Country Club, Penn Yan.The bride and bridegroom left for a week’s wedding trip to the Poconos. Members of the bridal party were in formal attire.Kelly Griffiths, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Griffiths, was flower girl. She wore yellow silk chiffon over taffeta. Her headpiece was of white net trimmed with daisies and she carried a basket of white daisies. William Wigster, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wigster, was ring bearer.The bride is a 1959 graduate of Penn Yan Academy and a 1962 graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, receiving the award of Excellency in Nursing Practice and honorable mention for scholastic achievement. The groom is a 1959 graduate of Penn Yan Academy and is now serving in the United States Navy at the Naval Air Station, Quonset Point, Rhode Island. The bride will be emloyed at S. S. Hospital in Penn Yan starting September, and following the discharge from the Navy in January, the couple will make their home in Penn Yan.dEYevf;SsCIIcThe mother of the bride wore beige silk chiffon over taffeta with a French lace bodice. Johnson at a luncheon held at Hill Top Inn, Penn Yan; a personal shower given -by Mrs.‘ Ansel Stork at a luncheon at the Lakeside Country Club;and a kitchen shower given by Miss Bonnie Brown and Mrs. Howard Crofoot at the home of Miss Bonnie Brown.
