SCHNEIDERMAN WED AT CHURDANChurdan—The sanctuary of the First Presbyterian church at Chur-daft* was v the scene of a wedding ifonday’ afternoon, when Gladys Stubbe became the bride of John Schneider man. Both the bride and [ bridegroom are‘from George, Iowa.j£e vows were read by the Rev, bert O. Stevenson, pastor of the church.■Tfte bride .was attired in an ivory satin outfit, with dark accessories. She is a first cousin of Mrs. Stevenson... Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. George. Abels of Bigelow, Minn. The latter*is a sister of the bridegroom.A wedding receptioh was held in the manse following the ceremony. The couple left bn* a wedding trip through northern Iowa and the West,* The bridegroom is engaged in farming near George. jUnderwood Reunion The 14th annual Underwood reunion was held in Jefferson Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27 and 28. The guests, which numbered about 30, were entertained Saturday evening and Sunday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Reeder, with a weiner supper on Saturday and a .breakfast Sunday morn-» *s. »JFolla$ring’ this .they gathered at the Jefferson Country club house where more than 100 guests sat down to the basket dinner. The weather was ideal for a picnic, and members from five other states besides Iowa were present.Notable was the presence of the eldest three first cousins, of whom only five now remain. These were l Anna Underwood Walters and her brother Phillip Underwood, both of. Unionvill^, and Landon Underwood, of Cozad, Nebr. Mr. Underwood, past 80 years of age, has not missed a single reunion. In the afternoon a short business meeting was conducted and new officers for the coming year were elected. The retiring president is Mrs. Walter Harvey of Marcus and the new president is Mrs. Lloyd RJttgers of Paton. The secretary and treasurer is Mrs. Pete Ansinson9of Perry who also held the post last year.A short program was presented, consisting of community singing, piano solos by Mrs. Anne and Glenda Legore of Scranton, and a short skit Old Friends for News” by Mrs. Charley Reeder and Mrs. Verle Blackburn, This was followed by words of welcome from the three senior cousins.Present plans call for the reunion to be held on the last Sunday in June, 1950, at the country clubhouse in Jefferson.A complete list of those who attended this year's reunion was not available.Anti
