Ristau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Ristau, 6 Avenll street, and Lyle G. Snavley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Snavley, Pleasant township, was solemnized September 2 in First Lutheran church.The ceremony was performed at seven o'clock by the Rev. Edward K. Rogers, pastor. Mrs. Dorothy Engstrom, organist, played traditional bndal airs and accompanied Mrs. Melda Philo, EufTalo soprano, who sang ‘'Wedding Prayer” and, as the couple kneeled at the altar, The Lord’s Prayer/'Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white slipper satin, fashioned with Peter Pan collar, inserts of imported Chantilly lace, long sleeves, and a cathedral train. Her veil was of illusion net with hand-rolled edge, falling fingertip length from a coronet of lace and seed pearls. She earned a colonial bouquet of white roses, pom poms and baby’s breath with white sti earners.Attending her as matron of honor, her sister, Mrs. Alberta Jackson, wore a gown of American Beauty rose satin with net overskirt, matching colonial hat and mitts. Her colonial bouquet v.as of yellow roses, white pompoms and baby's biealh. with yellow streamers. The bridesmaids, DeLco P.eifT and Mrs. Patricia Yaeglc, were lovely m green satin gowns in the same design as the matron of honor's, and carried similar bouquets.Flower girls were Patricia High-house. niece of the bridegroom, and Deann P^eiff. They were dressed m green and rose laffeta respectively, with Peter Pan collars, small, puffed sleeves, and full skirts over hoops. They also wore matching hats and mitts and carried miniature baskets of fall flowers.Completing the bridal party were WiUiam Yaegle as b-*st man; J. Cail Peterson, Tom Offerle and Russell Jarkson. ushers.The bnde's mother wore navy with gray accessories, and a corsage of red roses and white pompoms. Mrs. Snavley had a like corsage and navy accessories with a navy print.The reception for 200 guests followed at the Stoneham community house, with baskets of glads and pompoms used m decoration: thebride's table was centered with mixed pink and white flowers. A five-tiered cake was served by Mrs. Robert Soderberg, Mrs. Louis Highhouse and Dorothy Nelson, pouring, and Mrs. Carl Peterson passing the guest book.Out of town guests were from Detroit, Mich ; Syracuse, Jamestown and Buffalo, N Y.; Cleveland, Ohio: Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Venus, Ene, Tidioute, Russell, Youngsville and Sheffield.Later in the evening, the coupleleft for a wedding tnp through Canada. For traveling, the bride chose a red gabardine suit with black accessories and a gardenia corsage.Graduate of Warren HighSchool in 1945. the bnde is em-ploved at Reliable Furniture Company. Honoring her at parties were Mrs. Patncia Yaegle, Mrs. DeLeo Reiff and Mrs. Beverly Ho-den; Mrs. Helen Rose Olson: her sewing club; Mrs. Kathryn Moll, Mrs. Doris Peterson and Mrs. Lois Highhouse; and Mrs. Russell Jackson.Mr. SnaUey, alumnus of Warren High also, graduated from Edin-boro State Teachers College in 1950 and is taking graduate work at Penn State.
