The wedding of Msgs. Diane Lynn Monford and Donald Gene Broughton was held Saturday at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Thomas A. Donovan officiating, Music was provided by Harvey Faust, yvocalist,and Mike Colerain, organist. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph, Monford and Mr. and Mrs. Leon J. Broughton of Alvin. A graduate of Ball High School, she attended Galveston College and 18 employed by Armerican. National Insurance Co. He is a graduate of Alvin High School, attended Alvin Junior College and is employed as stall assistant for the American Telephone and Telegraph Co. In San Antonio. ‘The biige was escorted tnhe altar by her father. She wore an original formal gown of floor length. The tradition cloud white gown was of “silk sheer organza with a silhouette of empire lines. The luxury Alencon lace banded the high cuff neck, and the full sleeves were cutted in matching lace. Three towa of lace extended from necking to hemline. The delachable full rain was edged and banded in the same lace. Ter walst length bouffant veil ¢F illusion was attached to a bandeau of silk roses and fly of the valley towers across the front and she carcled a colorful medley cascade of lavender daisy pommums, purple slaltc. With gypsophelia and baby's breath, Miss Marlene Monford and Miss Sharon Monford served there sister as honor attendants and Urllesmaids were Miss Regina Barton and Miss Robert Kozlek. Another sister, Donna Monford, Mower pir. Janes Broughton was Wit brother's best man and another brother, Paul Broughton, and Jimmy McClean and Johnny Glosson were groomsmen. Seating the guests were Joseph Monford, brother of the bride, Dilly Snipos and Dany Benson. The reception was Iwifd at the parish ball and in the house party were Mrs. Carole Opperman, Mrs. Bessie Perry, Miss Hosie Caulk, Miss Debbie Monford and Miss Sara Hendricks.
