They were married Saturday evening in the First Methodist Church. Mrs. Herrington is the former Linda Cayle O’Steen, daughter of Mrs. Leonede O’Stein, and D. R. O’Steen of Sacramento, Calif. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Katie Herrington, and Harvey Herrington of Harker Heights.The double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. Cecil Taylor, and Duane Whitlow of Dallas, organist, provided the wedding music. Arrangements of white gladioli and roses were used in the church, as well as candelabra and jade foliage on the choir rail.The bride, given in marriage by her brother, David O’Steen of Havelock, N. C., wore a for-fal gown of silk organza accented with Guipure lace at the waist and for the front panel of the skirt, and at the Bateau neckline. The sleeves were el-bow-length. A chapel train fell from a bow in the center back. A cluster of tiny roses and lily of the valley held the veil of silk illusion and she carried a # cascade bouquet of white Victoria roses.Miss Gail Neuman was maid of honor. Mrs. David O’Steen was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Ronnie Decker and Mrs. Bobby Utley, and Miss Anna Hess and Miss Joan Younts of Temple. The attendants wore dresses of lemon yellow cotton satin. The bell skirts had wide cummerbunds of the same fabric. Their headpieces were yellow tulle, with matching bows with a small rose in the center. They carried bouquets of yellow carnations entwined with miniature English ivy.Miss Cathy Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob R. Jones was flower girl. She wore a dress like the other attendants and carried a basket of white rose petals.Ed Brantley of Clarksvillewas best man. Groomsmen were Mike Pittman, Bill Barge and Gary Hannon, Kenneth Owens of Austin, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Raymond Wells of Temple.
