RECENT WEDDING—The marriage of Miss Doris E. Gooding, daughter of Mrs. Ralph Othniel Gooding and the late Mr. Gooding, to Mr. John Stafford McNamara Jr., son of Mrs. John Stafford McNamara and the late Mr. McNamara of Cleveland, was solemnized at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon, August 31, at the Norwood Baptist Church.The Rev. Lcland Jerome Powell performed the ceremony, which . was followed by an informal reception at the church and a later gathering of a few close friends j at the Hotel Alms. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Clifford B. Gooding, and was attended by her sister, Mrs. Arthur K. Robison of Los Angeles.Mr. T. Edwin Davis was the bridegroom's best man. His ushers were Mr. Thomas Devanney and Mr. Edward S. Hammond.The* ceremony was preceded by a musical program presented by Mrs. Fred L. Hegner.The bride was becomingly attired in a champagne-hued suit, complemented by a brown velvet hat and brown velvet handbag, ornamented with semper vibrans orchids in shades of brown. Her sister wore a lime green suit, set off with a brown hat and matching bag which was enhanced with a cluster of yellow orchids.* For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Gooding wore a black crepe frock trimmed in royal blue and turquoise sequins. Her corsage was white gardenias. Mrs. McNamara, the bridegroom’s mother, chose an afternoon gown of brown crepe and a corsage of Talisman roses.A warm welcome was extended to Mrs. Walter Diemer, the groom’s aunt, who attended the wedding festivities from Cleveland. Other out-of-town,.guests werlt;- Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. McNamara of Cleveland, brother and sister-in-law of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. George Wilders of Columbus, Miss Helen Davis of Columbus, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard L.
