PINEVILLE AND NOEL CHILDREN MAY LACK INTEREST IN STUDIESNoel, Mo., Sept. 3.—With the consolidated schools at Noel and nearby Pineville—now “Little Holly-woods”—opening Monday morning for the fall term, school officials fear they have a real problem on their hands during the next few weeks interesting students in their studies while the Twentieth Century-Fox Film Company is producing the picture “Jesse James” nearby; With all the grown-ups so excited over the motion picture activity, they said, “What can be expected of the children?”There was talk of postponing the opening of schools for a few weeks, but school board members vetoed the idea. Approximately 400 children of Pineville and vicinity attend the Pineville consolidated school, and a similar number normally attend the Noel consolidated school.Streets around the square at Pineville, covered with tons of dirt for the purpose of making the motion picture, were muddy today following a hard rain last night, and no scenes were being shot in town by the motion picture company.Instead, the set was moved temporarily to Neosho where it was planned to shoot brief scenes today preliminary to a Jesse James train robbery scene which probably will be filmed next week.
