The new manager is Chas. E. Jones, who has been in charge of the electric light plant at Dugger. He comes well recommended and the News welcomes him and his family to our town. The retiring manager, John C. Gilliland, has been connected with the plant since it was first installed, and he has done a wonderful good work for the town in assisting in getting a plant built here that is a credit to the community and one that has always given better service than is customary in towns of this size. Mr. Gilliland I has sold his stock in the plant to j Claude E. Gregg, and he severs all | connection with the Home Light and Water Co. Mr. Gregg is a hustling young business man and he no doubt will help keep the plant up to the high standard it already occupies. The other stockholders are M. E. Dugger, E. H. Dugger and O. E.
