Hicks-CastroBelinda Rae Hicks and Antonio “Andy” Castro V were married during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony July 19 in Ragersville United Church of Christ. Rev. William Stauffer and Fr. George Wiltz were officiants for the double-ring service and Mrs. Ed (Kim) Brown of Cleveland was organist and Ken Cook of New Philadelphia was vocalist. Craig and Shawn Hicks of Sugarcreek, nephews of the bride, served as acolytes.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Forest Hicks of RD 1, Sugarcreek, and Dr. Antonio Castro of Tampa, Fla., and the late Kathaleen Castro.The couple’s wedding bands were designed and made by the groom’s father.An ivory, tissue taffeta gown was worn by the bride. It featured a wedding band collar, net illusion yoke and fitted bodice accented in alencon lace and seed pearls and a full skirt completed with a chapel train adorned in alencon lace. Belinda wore pearl earrings belonging to her mother.Mrs. Tim (Pam) Aubihl of Bolivar, cousin of the bride, and Dr. Castro served as matron of honor and best man.Bridesmaids were Maria Castro and Nicki Leto of Tampa, sisters of the groom, Diane Hicks of Ragersville and Mary Ann and Vicki Hicks of Sugarcreek, all sisters-in-law of the bride, and Oneida White of Gainesville, Fla.George Leto of Tampa, brother-in-law of the groom, James Lewis of Gallion, Ala., Gerry Rivero and Mark Rubio, both of Tampa, and Dan and Robert Hicks of Sugarcreek, and Richard Hicks of Ragersville, brothers of the bride, were ushers.Lori Beth Hicks of Sugarcreek, and Ursula Hicks of Ragersville, nieces of the bride, were flower girls and Derek Hicks of Ragersville and Jason Hicks of Sugarcreek, nephews of the bride, served as ringbearers. The ringbearers’ pillows were made by Mrs. Carmen Pride of Tampa.A reception was held in the CabaretMitchell’s StudioMR. AND MRS. ANTONIO CASTRO VLounge at New Philadelphia and the groom’s family hosted a rehearsdal dinner in Chalet in the Valley at Millersburg.After honeymooning on a Caribbean cruise, the newlyweds are residing in Tampa.The bride is a 1979 graduate of Garaway High and attended Stark Technical College at Canton. Belinda is an assistant manager at The Limited at Tampa Bay Mall. Andy, a 1980 graduate of Jesuit High, received a bachelor of science degree in building construction from Auburn University and is a project engineer for Golf Constructors International.
