Lambert, and Ovid Alport Houston III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ovid Alport Houston Jr., of Durham, North Carolina, were married in a 5 o’clock ceremony Sept. 1, in die home of the bride, 209 Summit Road.The double nrtg ceremony was performed by Dr. Howard W. Lee, pastor of West Main Baptist Church. The vows were spoken before an improvised altar of palms and seven-branched candelabra.Traditional wadding music was played during the ceremony.• Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white satin with lace appliques forming a portrait neckline add long s'eeves ending m calla points. The bouffant skirt, with panel back was accented by lace appliques. Her mantilla was of lace nod illusion. She carried a prayer book, a gift of the bridegroom, wish a white hybrid orchid showered with white satin streamers.Miss Melodie Lambert was maid of honor for her sister. She wore a dress of white sflk organza oyer pmk taffeta, made with fitted iodioe forming a portrait neckline md bouffant skirt with rose in mooter back. She carried cascadebouquet of Happiness roses.Mr. Houston served as best man br his son.After a reception given by the bride’s parents in their home, the :oup!e left for a wedding trip.
