Miss Rebecca Ross IsIs Candlelight BrideTinVases of white gladioli and carnations with emerald foliage graced the altar of the Ohio City Methodist Church for the Saturday evening wedding of Miss Rebecca Ross and Richard L. Counsellor Jr.Twin seven - branched candelabra with white tapers and four live palms formed the background for the candlelight ceremony. The pews were marked with aisle candelabra and emerald foliage tied with large white satin bows. The aisle was carpeted in the traditional white.The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Donald Davis of Ohio City, with Thomas Saunders of Delaware, friend of the groom assisting.' The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ross of Ohio City, and the bridegroom’s parents are Mrs. Vivian Coun-’ sellor of 421 N. Walnut St.. and Richard L. Counsellor of Toledo.A 30-minute musicale preceding the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Raymond Prior, of Toledo, vocalist, and organist Richard Leichtamer of Toledo, fraternity brother of the groom. Organ selections included a number which he composed for the bride and groom. Trumpet Voluntary by Purcell was the processional.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an exquisitely simple Empire style gown of white crepe which she designed The bodice was fashioned with an oval neckline and elbow length sleeves. The soft A-line skirt was floor length.Her bouffant veil of imported illusion fell from a headpiece of white organza roses and featured a single pearl. She carried an ai m bouquet of long stemmed white roses and salal foliage tied with a white satin bow.The bride’s sister. Mrs. Theodore Swayze of Ohio City, at « ' tended her as matron of honor Bridesmaids were Miss Tari Scholler of Rowling Green, and Miss Carol Shaw’ of Springfield, both sorority sisters of the bride. They were attired in identical Empire style gowns of frosted cocoa crepe designed with scoop necklines and floor , length slim skirtsThey wore wrist gloves and shoes in matching frosted cocoa. The yellow organza roses worn in their hair completed the ensembles. They carried tw'o long stemmed gold wave yellow roses with lemon leaves tied with gold satin streamersTrenda Speakman, cousin of the groom served as flower ■ girl She wore a floor length Empire stvle yellow frock designed similarly to those of the ot^r attendants. The bridegroom's mother wore a brown crepe sheath with beige accessories and a corsage of yellow rosebuds.A reception at the Marsh Hotel followed the wedding ceremony. The entrance where the guests were received was flanked with beauty vases of white gladioli and twin candelabra with white tapers. Palms decorated the pillars in the reception roomThe color theme at the bridal table was yellow and white. A long bouquet of lemon yellow gladioli, white carnations and leather leaf foliage formed the centerpiece and W’as flanked with white candles nestled in foliage. The wedding cake was decorated with yellow roses and topped with a vase of tiny yellow rosebuds and greenery.Miss Sue Horth of Fort Wayne, Miss Sue Putman of Bowling Green, and Miss Barbara Wahl of Westlake, all sorority sisters of the bride, assisted with the serving. Randy Gardner of Van Wert, cousin of the bride, assisted with the gifts, and Mrs. James (’hick of Fort Wayne, registered the guests. Richard Leichtamer provided the piano selections for the reception.After the reception the couple1 left for a short wedding trip to Potowatomi Inn. The bride wore a two-piece rose colored wool ! suit with navy blue accessories. She pinned a white rose from her bridal bouquet to her ensem ble.Following their return the couple will be at home at 926 East Wooster St., Bowling Green.The bride and groom are both graduates of Bowling Green State University and are nbw enrolled in the graduate school where he is majoring in psychology and she is majoring in guidance and counseling. Mrs. Counsellor will teach home economics the coming year at the Anthony Wayne School located i near Toledo. She is a member t of the Delta Gamma social so-; rority and Phi Upsilon Omicron ( national honorary fraternity. The bridegroom is a member | of Kappa Sigma social fratern ! ity.Out of town guests were from Fort Wayne, Valparaiso and I Richmond, Ind.; Roscommon. Mich.; Minneapolis.
