I We are located in a small village | in southern France, about three miles from Clermont Ferran. We have been here about three weeks, in aivillage named Gerzot, and it is vervold.i The most of our men are biiletted in the barn cf an old chateau which was built in 1663, and the rest of them are in another barn. The men are | well fixed and everybody is happy. Another Lieutenant and myself have a very comfortable room over a woodshed and s-eet) in a reel dim*. It requires a lot of nerve,i1 and is a task that makes one gladj ,■ hen it is over. We make the men bathe twice a week, but once is I enough for an officer, especially when it has to be done in cold water.We are very busy and have very little time for ourselves. We go to school either all forenoon or all afternoon. Part cf the men go in the forenoon and the rest in the afternoon. After supper we study until 10:30.
