Celebrate 50th anniversary1924-Mary Albert Tassi as newlyweds1974-Mr. and Mrs. Albert Tassi todayA Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary party was held at Victoria Mia’s in Bellwood on July 7 in honor of Mary and Albert Tassi. Eighty friends and relatives attended the event which was hosted by the couple’s two children, Albert Tassi, Jr.. and Mrs. Ida Celestino.Before the reception, an Anniversary Mass was held at St. Janies Catholic Church, Maywood, with the Rev. Paul Reicher officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Tassi’s grandsons, Albert III, Joseph and Michael, served the Mass, and their granddaughter Donna Tassi,* played the organ music.Mr. and Mrs. Tassi have been residents of Miami, Florida for the last 25 years, but return to the “ole homestead” at 121 S. 7th Ave., Maywood, each summer. Mr. Tassi, Sr. was in the plumbing business for 40 years before retiring to Florida.
