Decorated with candlelight and falllowers, the Daring ton Methodist Church was the scene Saturday evening for the wedding and reception of Miss Carla Ang Poe and Mr. William Karl Beecher, both of South Charleston. ‘The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Poe of Kanawha Country Club Road and her husband's ts are Mr. and Mrs. Willem E. Becher of Spring Street. The Rev. L. E. Crowson read the ceremony and mu sic was presented by Miss Carla Ann Butler of Pittsboro, N.C. and Messrs. A. Donald Withrow and Sherman M. Huffman, vocalists. Mrs. M. G. Huffman was organist. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a fourlength gown of white satin and chantilly lace, featuring a lace yoke and sleeves, chapel train and apple of reembroidered chantilly lace medallios. A prlized crown of orange fossams held her fingertip veil of illusion. She carried a mother-of-pearl Bible from Bethlehem topped with a white mum. The Bible was a gift from her uncle and aut, Mr. and Mrs. J. Alfred Poe, who visited the Holy Land this past summer. Miss Emily Izora Poe, sister of the bride, was maid of hon or, wearing a floor length gown of gold glimmer tailets featuring a Heating back pan el. Similar gowns in cham pagne and grees were worn by the bridesmaids, the Miss es Jane Clay, Adele Vessey, Carol Dee Huffman and Linda Barger. Each carried a single mum with matching stream ers. The former Miss Poe de signed and Uilored her own wedding gown as well as that of her maid of honor and her mother, the latter wearing a dress of green satin brocade with a jacket, and an orchid corsage. Best man was Mr. David Cristy of South Charleston and ushers were Messrs. Michael Huffman, C. K. Mowry, Ed bla Bassett and Phillip Beich Mr. and Mrs. Becher are alumni of South Charles ton High School. The groom is presently serving in the United States Air Force and Studying electronics. He is sta oned at Minot, N. C., where they will reside after 3 west ern wedding trip. She trav eled in a fight liue suit with matching accessories. MRS, WILLIAM KARL BECHER
