Bi-Annual Meeting Of American Legion To Be Held in HustonMcFarland Post No. 2 Hosts To The Fifth District ConferenceThe, McFarland Post , No. 2 of the. American Legion and the Ladies’ Auxiliary will be hosts to a meeting of the Fifth District 'Conference at 10 o’clock Sunday, October 31. Attendance is expected to be 100 per cent, and many distinguished guests are to be present.. Dr. J. O. Van Hook, commander of the Huston Post No. 2 and Mrs. Joe Norris, president of the Auxiliary unit, will give the welcome addresses. The responses will be given by Sam Rubin, district adjutant, and Mrs. H. F. Madison, Jr., who-is the, district auxiliary president.Following the response will be the introduction of the guests. They will be G. E. Jones, Area “B” commander, 5th district, and Mrs. C. M. Mitchell, past: Department Auxiliary president.: After an address by Mrs. L. Adrian Buzby, Department Auxiliary president, and George W. Rollosson, department commander, there will be a short recess in order to permit the Auxiliary to retire to their conference.A roll call of the posts will be made by Sam Rubin,, the district adjutant, which will be followed by reports from the post and area pmmanders. ’’wo other addresses will be -Messrs.
