Miss Ila Howard Becomes Bride Of Vincent ShannonVery beautiful and impressive was the ceremony which united in marriage of Thomas Vincent Shannon and Mary Ila Howard on Wednesday morning, October 26, 1927, in the Catholic church at Farmington. Rev. Father Fintan Zumbahlen officiated. The altar boys were Merle Miller and Johnny Shannon. The bride made a beautiful picture in her pale pink georgette dress and long ceil and an arm bouquet of Cecil Bruner roses. Her attendant, Madeline Shannon, sister of the groom, wore a lovely yellow beaded frock and her bouquet was of white and yellow chrysanthemums. The best man was Louis Keenan. The alttr was a mass of pink chrysanthemums and the pews reserved for the bridal party were decorated with the same flowers and | green. Miss Anna Castonguay played i the wedding march from “Lohengrin,’' and Mendelssohn’s wedding march. The vocalists were Miss Anna Canton-guay/Mrs. A. W. Thompson and Miss a Zumbahlen and the songs “On |This Day,,” “To Rest Within Thy Starred Heart,” “Ave Maria,” and “Agnus Dei.” The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shannon of the Peninsula while his bride is the oldest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R. H. Howard and is very popular with the younger set.A delicious luncheon wi|s enjoyed by thirty five relatives and friends at the Howard home. Ttie luncheon was served in courses by Norma Howard and Virginia Coppinger. The bridal couple left'jhnmediately after luncheon for a short honeymoon trip after which they^wil! be at home to their friends in one of the new cottages at Rattlesnake.
